Join OneTable, Leap Forward, and Dr. Gage Gorsky at Manny’s for an evening that brings ancient ritual and modern research to the same table. Together, we’ll share in the rhythm of Shabbat, lighting candles, blessing the meal, and taking time to pause, while exploring powerful new findings about how Shabbat dinner increases social connection.
OneTable conducted a study to understand social connection at the Shabbat dinner table. Over Shabbat dinner at Manny’s, we’ll share highlights from the research and invite reflection and conversation: What makes a gathering feel sacred? How do shared rituals help bridge difference? What can we learn from Shabbat about building connection and belonging across communities and faiths?
This evening is designed for interfaith bridge builders – people committed to unity, empathy, humility, and the healing power of caring for one another around a shared table.
This will be a catered meal with fish and vegetarian options, plus drinks provided.
