Trauma & Healing Post Oct 7th

On October 7, 2024, the devastating Hamas terror attacks on Israel left thousands wounded and over 500,000 displaced, overwhelming existing support systems.
In response, Leap Forward helped launch The David Center, an initiative delivering patient-centered, accessible, culturally sensitive, trauma-focused care to communities across Israel.
In partnership with Y.N.R Center and METIVTA, the initiative provides:
  • Innovative treatments (EMDR, Mind-Body Dialogue, psychodynamic therapies)
  • Therapist training programs
  • A 24/7 crisis call center
Results to Date
  • Trained 56+ trauma therapists (150+ on website)
  • Mobilized 80+ call center volunteers
  • Treated 170+ patients nationwide (600+ on website)
  • Managed 4000+ crisis calls
  • Demand continues to outpace capacity
